Soil stabilization with UPD
HOW IT'S WORKING?
- Working mode of UPD concentrate is based on polymerization of aluminosilicates,
- It is related to the permanent exchange of water molecules contained in soil for permanent and strong bonds with sulfate radicals,
- Additionally-during the process there are ettringites- formed These void spaces are adhesions between the soil grains that result in more strength and load-bearing capacity,
- The cementing agents of silicates and aluminosilicates are organic compounds containing acid functional groups easily reacting with them, creating very strong and durable mineral complexes,
- UPD ion exchange binder used for stabilization contributes to superficial and deep impregnation as well as to creating intermolecular chemical bonds between grains of cohesive soils
- As a result of a chemical process and mechanical compaction strong, slightly elastic mass is formed without intermolecular voids.
- The stabilized soil becomes a waterproof layer and it is a very good membrane between the ground layers and road surface.
